{"id":10430,"date":"2023-03-14T13:08:52","date_gmt":"2023-03-14T11:08:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.retalgroup.com\/retal-retains-ecovadis-silver-rating\/"},"modified":"2023-03-14T13:08:52","modified_gmt":"2023-03-14T11:08:52","slug":"retal-retains-ecovadis-silver-rating","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.retalgroup.com\/de\/retal-retains-ecovadis-silver-rating\/","title":{"rendered":"Retal retains EcoVadis silver rating"},"content":{"rendered":"<p id=\"first-graph\" class=\"inline-ad-para\">Multinational plastic packaging producer Retal has continued its upward scoring trend this year, realising a three-point increase over last year\u2019s EcoVadis score &#8211; an achievement largely driven by its Environmental score.<\/p>\n<p>It is the fifth year in succession that the company has improved its score, boosting this from 60% last year to 63% this year and establishing it as a business making significant advances in its sustainability ambitions.<\/p>\n<p>Retal has retained its coveted Silver level position and continues to rank in the top tier of the manufacturing category while working towards further improvement.<\/p>\n<p class=\"inline-ad-para\">Sustainability Director Emmanuel Duffaut explains that \u2018maintaining means improving\u2019 in the tightly monitored EcoVadis reporting structure, as quantifiable improvements are required year on year even to keep the same score.<\/p>\n<p class=\"inline-ad-para\">While the three point increase overall has been achieved thanks to continuous improvements across the business, a key driver for the improved score was the 10-point rise in the company\u2019s Environmental category score.<\/p>\n<p class=\"inline-ad-para\">According to Duffaut, this is largely thanks to the company\u2019s ongoing climate change management focus with the submission of Science-Based Targets (SBTi) for greenhouse gas emissions and detailed risk assessment according to TCFD guidelines.
