{"id":12324,"date":"2026-10-20T15:13:33","date_gmt":"2026-10-20T13:13:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.retalgroup.com\/retal-lithuania-implements-an-energy-efficiency-improvement-project\/"},"modified":"2026-10-20T15:37:54","modified_gmt":"2026-10-20T13:37:54","slug":"retal-lithuania-implements-an-energy-efficiency-improvement-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.retalgroup.com\/es\/retal-lithuania-implements-an-energy-efficiency-improvement-project\/","title":{"rendered":"RETAL Lithuania Implements an Energy Efficiency Improvement Project"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>UAB RETAL Lithuania<\/strong> is launching the project <strong>\u00abImproving Energy Efficiency at UAB RETAL Lithuania\u00bb<\/strong>, Project No. <strong>KK-AM-J05-0001<\/strong> (hereinafter referred to as the <em>Project<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p>Under the financing agreement signed on <strong>14 October 2026<\/strong> with the <strong>Environmental Projects Management Agency (APVA)<\/strong> under the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Lithuania, the Project has been granted <strong>up to EUR 526,810.80 in non-repayable funding from the Climate Change Programme<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The total planned investment amounts to <strong>EUR 2,131,536.00 excluding VAT<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The Project is being implemented in accordance with the funding conditions of the activity <strong>\u201cImplementation of Energy Efficiency Measures by Private Legal Entities\u201d<\/strong> under Progress Measure No. 02-001-06-04-02 <strong>\u201cIncrease the Effectiveness of Climate Change Policy\u201d<\/strong> of the Environmental Protection and Climate Change Management Development Programme, administered by the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Lithuania for the period 2022\u20132030.<\/p>\n<p>By utilizing the allocated funding, <strong>UAB RETAL Lithuania<\/strong> will modernize the technological processes used in PET preform production by introducing next-generation energy-efficient manufacturing and raw material drying equipment. The Project aims to reduce electricity consumption, improve production efficiency, decrease greenhouse gas emissions, and contribute to the development of a more sustainable industrial sector.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the Project, one existing PET preform production line will be replaced with a new high-energy-efficiency injection molding system featuring integrated raw material drying equipment. In addition, the raw material drying process on another production line will be upgraded through the installation of a next-generation energy-saving drying system.<\/p>\n<p>Following the implementation of the planned investments, it is expected that <strong>approximately 357.04 MWh of electricity will be saved annually and greenhouse gas emissions will be reduced by approximately 62.12 tonnes of CO\u2082 equivalent per year<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The upgraded technological equipment will enable more efficient use of energy resources, optimize production processes, and reduce the environmental impact of production activities.
