Sustainability Statement

Welcome to our eighth Sustainability Report.

In 2025, RETAL continued to strengthen our approach to sustainability through a focus on quality, transparency and responsible business practices, governed at the highest level. By connecting quality and sustainability, we harness our expertise as a true complete packaging partner for our customers.

We made further progress in areas including renewable electricity, circular packaging solutions and climate-related reporting. Our double materiality assessment continues to help us better understand the impacts, risks and opportunities most relevant to our business and stakeholders.

The packaging industry continues to face changing regulations, increasing demand for recycled materials and higher expectations for transparency.

These developments create both challenges and opportunities, which we address holistically to create sustainable value for all our stakeholders.

Our priority is to make measurable progress and support our customers with reliable, responsible packaging solutions from a safe, rewarding workplace. We remain focused on reducing emissions, improving data quality and strengthening our contribution to a more circular packaging value chain.

ESG management

RETAL is committed to conducting our business in a sustainable, responsible and ethical manner, both internally and throughout our value chain. We manage our material environmental, social and governance (ESG) impacts, risks and opportunities (IROs) by looking to reduce and prevent any actual or potential negative impact and risk.

Our latest analysis, performed in 2024, is a Double Materiality Assessment (DMA) following the guidance from the European Financial Reporting Advisory Group (EFRAG), in line with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) reporting requirement which will apply to RIL in 2025.
This analysis identifies the potential and actual impact RETAL’s operations have on ESG topics, as well as the financial risks and opportunities ESG topics may represent for our business.

Stakeholders are fundamental drivers in sustainability management. RETAL continuously engages with our key stakeholders to ensure we understand the risks and opportunities linked to their expectations and inform them of our actions and progress.
