Sustainability at RETAL

At RETAL, sustainability and corporate social responsibility are integrated across our business, from operations and product development to supply chain management and customer partnerships.

As a global supplier of complete plastic packaging solutions, we understand the needs of both regional producers and leading international beverage brands across more than 60 countries, combining local market understanding with the stability and capabilities of an established international group.

As customer expectations, legislation and market requirements continue to evolve, we continue to strengthen our approach through investment, innovation and close cooperation across the wider group. This includes expanding solutions that support recyclability and recycled content targets, increasing renewable energy use, strengthening responsible sourcing and supporting long-term supply security for our customers.

Our integrated approach combines packaging production with R&D, technical support, raw material sourcing expertise and laboratory testing capabilities, helping us support customers with reliable, high-quality packaging solutions in changing market conditions.

Through continuous improvement, transparency and long-term partnership, RETAL remains committed to supporting a more sustainable and resilient packaging value chain for our customers, employees and wider communities.

RETAL is committed to conducting our business in a sustainable, responsible and ethical manner, both internally and throughout our value chain. We manage our material environmental, social and governance (ESG) impacts, risks and opportunities (IROs) by looking to reduce and prevent any actual or potential negative impact and risk.

Our latest analysis, performed in 2024, is a Double Materiality Assessment (DMA) following the guidance from the European Financial Reporting Advisory Group (EFRAG), in line with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) reporting requirement which will apply to RIL in 2025.
This analysis identifies the potential and actual impact RETAL’s operations have on ESG topics, as well as the financial risks and opportunities ESG topics may represent for our business.
